Description: 

The expert dialogue is intended to contribute to strengthening a climate-resilient, sustainable agricultural sector and thus to securing Uzbekistan's self-sufficiency.

The overall objectives of this component are:

  • To Strengthen competence building in selected state seed research institutions and their cooperation with practice
  • Advise selected medium-sized dairy farms on resource-, climate- and soil-conserving fodder production and feeding,
  • To make existing knowledge available to a wider circle of experts,
  • To advise political partners and to strengthen bilateral exchange.
Qualifications: 

Compulsory:

  • University degree in agricultural sciences (or similar)
  • Good knowledge of English
  • 5 years of professional experience

Optional:

  • Field of study: seed cultivation/breeding
  • Knowledge of climate resilience in seed development
  • Project experience at international level
  • German, Uzbek or Russian language skills advantageous
  • Professional experience in Central Asia
  • Experience in agricultural policy and institutional advisory services

450 days over the period from March 2023
