Description: 

The expert dialogue is intended to contribute to strengthening a climate-resilient, sustainable agricultural sector and thus to securing Uzbekistan's self-sufficiency.

The overall objectives of this component are:

  • To Strengthen competence building in selected state seed research institutions and their cooperation with practice
  • Advise selected medium-sized dairy farms on resource-, climate- and soil-conserving fodder production and feeding,
  • To make existing knowledge available to a wider circle of experts,
  • To advise political partners and to strengthen bilateral exchange.
Qualifications: 

Compulsory:

  • University degree in agricultural sciences (or similar)
  • Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of German
  • 5 years of professional experience

Optional:

  • Experience in international cooperation
  • Specialised background in animal production in studies/training
  • Professional experience in practical animal breeding/ husbandry, especially feeding (milk)
  • Seed experience
  • Experience in business consulting and further education
  • Experience in agricultural policy and institutional consulting
  • Experiences in climate resilience and cultivation in arid zones
  • Knowledge of Uzbek or Russian
  • Professional experience in Central Asia
  • Experience in team management (incl. leadership experience)
